Hi guys!

Now it has been a hot minute since I last wrote on here! I have missed it, but I kind of had a form of writers block I guess you could call it and then I lost my camera charger, so it was all getting a bit chaotic! Anyways now that I have things back in order (to a certain extent..) and I have gotten back into the flow of writing on here because I have missed it so much, I wanted to share some travel inspiration, specifically inspiration from Madrid.

While in my last year of school, I went on a Spanish trip to Madrid as I did A level Spanish as subject, now if I’m being truly honest, I really did not want to go, I was going to missing different events at school, and none of my friends were going on this trip, so I didn’t have an open mind when leaving to go to Madrid.

When we got there, we checked into our hotel which was called ‘Hotel Mediodia’ which in english literally translates to Hotel Midday, which I thought was an interesting name aha, but it overlooked a gorgeous square which is shown above in picture 14 (if you count down from the top), and was opposite from the Reina Sofia Museum and was a 5 minute walk from the train station which was very handy!

During our time there, the teachers let the older students have some free time to wonder around and have a little look at where we staying for a week, so that is what I did. All I took with me was my phone and some money and off I went. I walked all over the city centre and found some beautiful buildings and architecture and had to take photos of them, which I took all on my iPhone 5S, I was too nervous to carry around an expensive camera as my friends bag, that had her passport in and money got stolen on the first day, so I thought I would play it safe during my trip and take all of my photographs on my iPhone!

All in all, I really enjoyed by trip to Madrid, and would love to go back there, I highly recommend going, if you are thinking of travelling this coming spring!

Hope you’ve had a nice relaxing weekend and let me know what your favourite country is in the world.

Talk later
