The rest of the time on Koh Phangan consisted of a lot of chilling, exploring and hanging out with the dogs, which were at the Sarana Bungalows where we stayed and spent the rest of our time on the island. The bungalows were surrounded by palm trees, it had an infinity pool and a swing, which as you could probably guess, became the primary spot for everyones instagram photos.
One of the things I had been looking forward to the most on this trip, was getting to see the Elephants, and that day finally came! Everyone hopped onto the back of a truck and made our way to the Sanctuary where we would feed them, have water fights with them and walk with them around the sanctuary.
After having fun with the elephants all afternoon, we went back to the bungalows, and a few of us decided to go and see a bit more of the island and the small town where the Full Moon Party is held. So a few of us hopped into a taxi and spent the rest of the afternoon, buying little trinkets, going to the beach where the party was and just explored the busy little town.
What I can tell you is that you will never be short of a 7/11, a tattoo parlour or if you are in need of transport, a moped. Every corner you turn, you will see at least 2 of these things if not all of them in one place, which is extremely handy and useful if you enjoy exploring without a plan.
It was our last couple of nights on Koh Phangan and what does the mean… time for the Full Moon Party!!! Everyone covered themselves in fluorescent paint, and I was having so much fun and just living in the moment that I forgot to take any photos of it… but its something that I will never forget! It was the best way to spend our last few nights together before everyone then headed their separate ways, whether that was flying back home or continuing on with their travels.
