My day actually started normally at 9am on Sunday. I went about my day, spent the afternoon in the Library, did some work and then proceeded to stay awake until 2am (my flatmates tried to stay up, bless them) but then when that alarm went off, I lugged my fat suitcase across campus and met everyone’s tired faces, and we all then made our way to Heathrow Airport to catch our flight to the Big Apple.
The flight over was very smooth from what I can remember (was asleep for most of it!) and we landed in JFK early afternoon and all hopped on the coach that would take us into the heart of New York City. We then checked into The Wolcott Hotel, which is a couple blocks south of The Empire State Building, chucked our bags in our rooms and headed straight to Times Square!
New York has always been on my bucket list and Times Square was one of the chunky ticks I would be crossing off that list.
After taking as many photos as our camera rolls could take, we hunted for some authentic American food… yes, that meant the first burger joint we saw, you bet your arse we’d be making a beeline for it.
Once we finished dinner, we decided to squeeze in a little late night trip to Grand Central Station. Couldn’t leave Serene Van der Woodsen waiting (all my Gossip Girl fans know what I’m talking about).
Stay tuned for Day 2.
