This day started with breakfast at The Speedy Cafe on 1271 Broadway, opposite the Empire State Building. We grabbed a few smoothies (so yummy) and had a stack of pancakes with Nutella and banana in them, and a stack with butter and maple syrup. These were absolutely delicious, and writing about them is making me want a pancake right now!
We then made our way to the Empire State Building, went in the wrong way, naturally, found the actual entrance and bought our tickets. They took us into the elevator which had a cool video on the ceiling all about the construction of the building and how many floors we were going up. We then arrived at the 86th floor, and it was time to see that jaw-dropping view.
After getting all the pictures we wanted and taking in the view, we made our way back down to the busy city streets and decided we needed a bit of retail therapy after our exhausting photoshoot. We went into Victoria Secret, Levis, Forever 21, Macy’s, Target, Sephora, Brandy Melville, the list goes on. We made an obligatory stop at a hot dog stand, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint.
To round off our jam-packed day, we popped into Big Slice NYC, got the biggest Margarita pizza we could and trekked back to our hotel. Although we were tired, we put on some music and continued to work and write till 2am, the dedication 😉
Day 2, done and dusted, onto Day 3.
