Departure day definitely crept up on us quickly. Our day started with us frantically packing our bags to make sure we checked out in time because as you can grasp from this trip, we weren’t the best with our time management.
Once we had checked out, we only had a few hours to explore and get all our last little bits and bobs as we had to meet back at the hotel to hop on the coach and head off to JFK. So we grabbed a smoothie and a waffle from a food truck near the empire state building (best waffle ever! I had Nutella and Strawberry on mine … mouthwatering!). We went into a few stores to see some of the last minute sales and before we knew it, it was time to head back and say goodbye.
This trip has been amazing and eye-opening. I’ve made some friends for life (cheesy but true) and I’m sad that I won’t get to live with these girls and spend our evenings writing blog posts, have disco parties and do face masks, yes all at the same time.
If any of you guys get the chance to come to New York, one I’m jealous because I will most likely be crying in a library somewhere stressing about University. But I will also be so happy for you and excited that you get to do all the fun things I got to do this trip.
New York, you’ve been good to us and I’m sure I’ll be back!
